To me, this 1987 film was a heartwarming tale about the virtues of remaining young at heart. Not too scary or heavy on the gore. The toymaker and his wife are charming as hell. The character Ralph reminds me a lot of Sean Astin for some reason, in a good way. The doll effects are well-done and the setting is perfectly spooky. I enjoyed this one quite a lot. 9 outta 10 skulls!
