Low-budget heckle-worthy special effects and bad acting aside, this was actually a great, and actually sad, story. It's not very far removed from being more of a drama centered on family secrets, medical ethics, abuse, bigotry, and co-dependency -- and prompts the viewer to ask who the REAL monsters are. The plot was much deeper and more developed than I assumed a B-movie like this could be. I enjoyed it quite a lot, 7 out of 10 jackos.
